SciDataManager has the ability to host any number or size of data. Every dataset is assigned and can be identified by a Persistent Identifier (PID)

Each Dataset has four stages to pass: Landing Zone, Staging Zone, Refined Zone and Archival Zone.

Datasets registered within SciDataManager can be shared with the public and registered users and groups.

Search and filter: Elasticsearch based Dataset, Group and User search, and Year and File Type as filters.
Dataset Management: Dataset creation, metadata and data upload, dataset registration, edit in the dataset name, and a metadata value. Each dataset is associated with a PID.
View: List and the detailed view of the dataset and group, and a summary view of the User.
Dataset Sharing: Datasets can be shared with registered users, groups, and publicly.
Group Management: Group creation, group member invite, join, remove, leave and admin approval, edit in group description and permission.
Data Template: Community standard data template such as MIAPPE or NCBI adapted.
Login: CAS-based USask Login and OAuth2 based Globus login.
Plugin: A JQuery standalone plugin for external web applications.
